Same here. I have installed 2.2.6 on the server. The lines it gives when copies don’t allow Apache to restart because mod_passenger.so is still in the passenger 2.2.5′s directory.

When running passenger-install-apache2-module on Snow Leopard, it claims to have installed correctly, yet there is no log of compilation & the so file isn’t created, so it doesn’t actually worked. Tried this on 2 different machines & uninstalled & reinstalled 2.2.6 3 times on each.

On my system (fairly default Ubuntu 8.10) running passenger-install-apache2-module for 2.2.6 does not go to the compile stage. It just says apache module has been installed, but the mod_passenger.so is not being created and as such it does not work.

It looks like this version of passenger is not building at all for me. It only leaves me with a couple of source files in /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/passenger-2.2.6/ext/apache2/ Ubuntu Hardy 64b

Does someone testes the building of passenger module with the latest ruby ee version?
